Statistics Database

Q: What is in the SIHR database?
A: The SIHR data base has a unique and vast amount of male and female hockey statistics which is growing daily. The objective is to have an accurate record of all professional, semi-professional, Olympic and junior hockey leagues for the entire world. As you can imagine, this is a daunting task.

All statistics are collected and entered by volunteer members. Our emphasis is on creating a historical record, and is not intended to be an up to date resource used for hockey pools, . The data base currently includes games played, goals, assists, points and penalty minutes for skaters as well as wins, losses, ties, SO, goals against and GAA for goaltenders. In addition to statistics, most player profiles have notes (trade & injury info, etc), biographies and photos. The data is not only limited to players and has a growing number of coaches (with stats), officials and even some executives.

Q: Where does SIHR obtain statistics?
A: Members contribute statistics from their personal research. Sources include media guides, newspapers, game summaries, official game sheets and websites.
